Masicka Drops 1st Single “Different Type” Off Upcoming Debut Album ‘4.3.8’

Masicka is on some “Different Type” of vibe.

Masicka has given the public a taste of his highly anticipated album 4.3.8 when he released the first single and its accompanying visuals on Sunday, May 22. The song, entitled “Different Type,” has already received almost 400 thousand views in just 24 hours and is already trending on YouTube.

The Dancehall deejay spits fire bars, as usual, while the RD studios visuals show his shirtless “strikers” wielding machetes with their heads covered with black masks. The video is intensely interesting, going from women with guns to bloody machetes to expensive whips, among other strong scenes. A brief cameo of upcoming artist Nation Boss is also featured in the music video, having fans hopeful that the “Humans” singer will be collaborating with Masicka sometime soon, hopefully, on the upcoming album.

The new release has fans on the tip of their chairs, commending the artiste for his bars: “Different type a killa wi nuh pretend strika, Different type a p**sy pon mi c**ky dawg, mi bitch dem hypa / Different type a money yo wi live dem life yah / Different type a strain inna mi brain sumaddy swing mi lighta / Show mi dem bring di fighta / Swing di lef an swing dem right yah,” Masicka sings on the chorus.

Fans were quick to point out that each of the three verses in the song had different flows and commended the artiste as the only one to do this. Others commented that they were ready for the album, as the “artiste is in a class of his own.”

One fan commented, “Masicka is the best writer, the best in the game right now. The man in a different class by him self. I don’t see no other artist who can level up with this young youth.” Another hopeful fan questioned, “Who feel this ago be one a the sickest album in a Dancehall.

“With this single, mi ah remind myself of the process. Mi a remind myself that it all started inna mi mind before I could make it a reality. Agent Sasco Releases Song With Daughter LC, To Speaker At Book Launch

Agent Sasco Releases Song With Daughter LC, To Speaker At Book Launch

Agent Sasco is to speak at the launch of Pete Kennedy’s book “When a Man Loves” this weekend.

The book launch, which takes place this Saturday, May 29th, will feature a special event at the Miramar Regional Park in Miramar, Florida, with Agent Sasco as the main event.

“When a Man Loves” is a story about a young Jamaican man and how he finds his way in the world without any major role models or navigational forces. It is a motivational book that calls on men to LEAD THE WAY THEY WERE BORN TO, to protect, to communicate with transparency, to be honest, loyal, and build trust with those they influence.

The author says the story is based on his own journey, which started out in a broken home and led to him being a community leader. Kennedy is the Founder and CEO of Educating Men & Youth How to Lead & Live. His organization helps young people develop their professional and personal lives.

In his book, Kennedy further explains, “This story is my journey navigating masculinity and all the traps it sets.”

A review of the book on Amazon says, “It is an emotional roller coaster that will run from the extremes of joy to tears. It is a real triumphant story and a true testament that challenges the reader with exercises to be better LEADERS, FATHERS, HUSBANDS and HUMAN BEINGS.”

Who better to be an ambassador of this book than Agent Sasco himself? A committed husband and father, Sasco is the epitome of what it means to be a strong man. His career and recent name change mirror the growth that “When a Man Loves” chronicles.

Agent Sasco, in his early career, was known by the name Assassin. After starting his family, the deejay rebranded and adopted a more wholesome image. Hailing from the low-income Papine Kintyre community, Sasco has his own story of overcoming and rising above the stereotypes to be a well-respected leader in society.

The artiste expressed enthusiasm about his upcoming speech on Instagram. In an announcement of the gig, he said, “Just about finished my copy of @peteandreken Bestseller, “When A Man Loves.” I’ll be a guest speaker at the launch this Saturday, May 29th @ Miramar Regional Park. #GiveThanks.”

Romeich Preps New Collab With Shenseea, Ding Dong & Teejay Coming Soon

Romeich Preps New Collab With Shenseea, Ding Dong & Teejay Coming Soon

Romeich is cooking up something special with his major artists.

We’ve heard many hits from the dancehall artists in the Romeich Entertainment camp before, but we are yet to hear them all together on one track. While many fans enjoy the occasional Shenseea song, Teejay tune, or Ding Dong dance track, a joint-record with all three Romeich Entertainment artists is yet to be released.

Romeich Major, head of the label, announced the upcoming collab on Instagram this week, unveiling the cover art for the new single. In the caption, he wrote, “Something special gonna happen very soon!!!!! @uptopboss_official × @dingdongravers × @shenseea × @romeichentertainment New song coming!!!!! Guess the name of it?????”

In the post, all four artists, including Romeich, are clad in color-coordinated fits but posed individually in a shopped photo. It is yet to be confirmed if Romeich will actually be a part of the song or if he just has producer credit, but he did not leave his name out of the lineup, so I guess that means anything is possible here.

Skip Marley Premieres “Make Me Feel” Visual Featuring Ari Lennox And Rick Ross

Skip Marley Premieres “Make Me Feel” Visual Featuring Ari Lennox And Rick Ross

The voice you hear speaking on the haunting first track of Skip Marley’s debut EP Higher Place is that of his legendary grandfather Robert Nesta Marley, who once went by the nickname “Skip” himself. “Is something higher,” Bob once said in a 1979 interview, seeking to explain the magnitude of a profound worldwide reckoning that he knows is coming. “Is something no man can stop.” On the title track of his EP, which was released last week on Tuff Gong / Island Records, Skip sings of his own burning desire to go higher. So what is this higher place all about? “The betterment of mankind,” Skip explained during a recent telephone call from Miami. “A world community where each one do him part and live right and live upful as we should. And it nah go’ happen unless you make that decision today. Cause it start within you first. For yourself. And you have to take I and I higher, forward.” During a year that’s brought so many downward vibrations, it’s more than a little bit refreshing to hear such optimistic energy. For the past five years, the singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist has made that sort of thing his specialty. “Music with a message is the music we love,” says Skip. “Good vibrations. Positivity. Conscious influence of the heart and the mind and the soul. Yeah. Blessed are the singers and the players. Can’t take this lightly.” When your mom is Cedella Marley, Bob’s firstborn child and a founding member of the Melody Makers, and your father’s aunt is Marcia Griffiths, one of Jamaica’s most revered singers and a member of Bob Marley’s harmony trio the I Three, taking music lightly isn’t really an option. Yet somehow Skip has found a way to carry the great expectations effortlessly, even as he holds himself to the highest standards.

Reggae Icon George Nooks Arrested Over Cocaine Case, Mercedes Benz Seized

George Nooks is facing cocaine charges again after getting an acquittal last year.

Jamaican recording artiste George Nooks is facing criminal drug charges in connection with an incident from April 2019. According to The STAR, the singer was arrested on Thursday in Kingston, Jamaica by the narcotics police. Nooks was charged for cocaine possession and attempting to pervert the course of justice to which he pleaded not guilty in the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court on Friday (October 23).

During the incident from which the charges stem last year April, the entertainer allegedly stashed a bag of powdery substance when he was being approached by a group of police officers who were reportedly carrying out a narcotics investigation. Nooks was searched and a bottle containing “a clear liquid substance” was reportedly seized as well as the bag with the white substance retrieved.

When he was taken into custody and being processed at the narcotics division, George Nooks reportedly snatched the bag, swallowed the substance, and “spat out the plastic.” He was taken to the hospital for treatment as well as for blood samples to be drawn, which was then sent for analysis at the Institute of Forensic Science and Legal Medicine along with the bottle of liquid and the plastic he coughed up.

While the singer was allowed to leave police custody while the investigation was underway, a file was soon compiled and submitted to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, which led to charges being brought against him. This time when George Nooks was arrested, he was granted bail in the sum of $300,000 (JAD). A part of his bail condition is that he checks in at a particular police station every week.

The entertainer is scheduled to appear in court for this case on January 13, 2021
